AWANA
Commander: Corrine Schmidt

What is Awana?

Awana is a kid's ministy based on the key verse "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed" from 2 Timothy 2:15.  Our club night is filled with fun activities that help us to teach kids how to know, love, and serve Jesus Christ.  We have Game Time, Handbook Time, and Council Time with trained, caring leaders who invest their time, love, and wisdom to help shape children's lives.  While participating in games, kids can train their bodies.  While learning verses, they can train their minds and learn spiritual truths.  While encountering life lessons, they feed their souls.  All of these things are approached in a safe, fun, and caring environment.

We have something for everyone!

Cubbies is for kids ages 3 and 4 years old.  They have a great time learning God's Word!  And yes, they memorize scripture too!  It is a welcoming place for your energetic preschooler.  Cubbies learn basic truths about the Christian faith while having fun memorizing scripture and engaging in a variety of lively activities.  Cubbies is specifically designed for preschoolers and will nurture your child while they learn more about Jesus Christ.

Sparks is for kids in Kindergarten through 2nd grade.  Combining learning with fun creates an atmosphere of excitement that keep clubbers coming back for more.

Truth and Training or T&T is designed for kids in 3rd through 6th grade.  The passion of Awana is to teach boys and girls the truth of God's word and to train them to follow Christ.  This group is being trained as tomorrow's leaders in the church while learning more about how to walk with Christ and how to live for Him.

24/7 Ministries is specifically designed for kids in 7th through 12th grade.  Trek is for kids 7th - 9th grade and Journey is for kids 10th - 12th grade.  Middle schoolers and high schoolers benefit from this curriculum of studies as they venture out into the wold with a solid, Christ-centered perspective that God truly is in control.
